Animation

Various animation projects I've completed or are currently working on. Some are personal projects and some are collaborative or a part of classes.

CCS Precollege

In 2021 I attended an online summer intensive class with CCS where we had five days to design an original character and write, storyboard, keyframe, inbetween, clean, color and composite an animation. I chose to incorporate movements that I had not animated before (falling towards camera) and impact frames, which I had recently learned of.

Ninjago Character Animation Project

For my own learning purposes, I have been "re-animating" a scene from Ninjago, a TV show I enjoyed as a kid. My goal is to get some practice in with not only character animation but also keeping track of secondary motions and eventually creating clean, consistent lined frames. While the original scene is animated in 3D with LEGO, I have chosen to use 2D animation in a more "TV-friendly" style similar to shows like Pantheon and Invincible. This also means that I had to essentially re-design all of the characters to suit the new style-- LEGO figures don't have human proportions so trying to exactly replicate their clothes and features onto a human shape doesn't always work.

Several illustrations created as personal projects, client commissions, and class assignments. I have a focus in digital painting and character/environment design.
